About the "Urbanism" Program
The "Urbanism" program offers a unique opportunity to study the complex interconnections between people, space, and the environment.
It will introduce you to the dynamic world of urban planning and offer you the chance to participate in creating cities that are sustainable, innovative, and people-oriented.
Training in the program is conducted by a team of highly qualified lecturers from UACEG who have undergone specialized training in European universities. Prominent professionals and academics from Bulgaria and Europe participate as adjunct and guest lecturers.

Professional Skills
The education provides a solid foundation in the field of urbanism, developing skills for analyzing urban systems, assessing environmental impacts, developing sustainable development strategies, and designing urban spaces. You will gain knowledge of the history, theory, and practice of urbanism, as well as its related legislative and institutional frameworks.
PROFESSIONAL REALIZATION
Graduates in "Urbanism" can pursue careers in areas such as city and municipal management, investment planning, strategic planning, landscape planning, environmental protection, and infrastructure design and development.
Potential employers include design and consultancy firms, real estate agencies, developers, and all levels of state and local government administration. Urbanists participate in the management of territories and municipalities in accordance with modern European practices. They can also work as freelance independent consultants.

Is this PROGRAM right for me?
Applicants wishing to study "Urbanism" in Bulgaria should have knowledge and interests in various fields: history and geography, society and economics, nature and environment, aesthetics and creativity, linguistic culture, and logical thinking. Due to this specific nature of the program, an open admission methodology has been chosen, without an additional entrance examination.
Curriculum
The course of study lasts 4 years, including 7 semesters of training and 1 semester for a diploma project or the development of a thesis on a topic chosen by the student.
Upon completion, the educational-and-qualification degree "Bachelor" is awarded.
Graduates with this degree can apply and continue their studies for a "Master's" degree, either through state-funded positions or paid tuition.
