The faculty boasts modern teaching and laboratory facilities, with highly qualified professors, prominent specialists, and scientists. The faculty's laboratories are accredited for testing building materials and products, researching elements and joints of building structures, and conducting static and dynamic studies of structures and their construction technologies. The faculty also features a highly efficient electronic information network and computing laboratories for its students and doctoral candidates.

The Faculty of Civil Engineering is a member of the Council of Civil Engineering Faculties, alongside dozens of similar faculties from Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Central European countries, as well as the European Institute for Postgraduate Studies (EIPOS). The Student Section of the faculty serves as the European coordinator for the International Association of Civil Engineering Students (IACES). The faculty is a traditional hub for international students, and its graduates successfully practice in dozens of countries worldwide.

Professional Skills

Graduate engineers possess the knowledge and skills for the investigation, design, construction, and operation of various types of buildings and facilities. They are prepared for all activities within the investment cycle of construction projects – from research and design work to commissioning and maintenance.

CAREER PROSPECTS

Graduating civil engineers receive higher education diplomas with an "Integrated Master's" degree and can pursue professional careers in construction companies, structural design bureaus, manufacturers of building products, investment departments, public administration, research units, educational and credit institutions, investment and management bodies, as well as business entities in the real estate market.

Structural Engineering

Program

The duration of full-time study is 5 years, including 9 academic semesters and 1 semester for the development and defense of a graduation thesis. The program offers two specializations – "Structures" and "Technology and Organization of Construction".

Students study structural engineering disciplines and specialized subjects such as organization and management of construction, steel and composite bridges, structural research, real estate management, investment construction project management, and more. Alongside classroom activities, numerous internships are conducted in established construction, design, commercial firms, and utility companies.
