Building a Green Construction Sector

As one of the largest waste streams in Europe, the construction sector is expected to follow a circular model in line with the European Green Deal. In this context, the EU-funded project MOBICCON-PRO will enhance the recovery and recycling of Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) in South-East Europe. It will combine physical, terrain-adapted solutions (a mobile CDW processing plant) with innovative technologies for selective separation and dismantling to increase CDW processing and the production of recycled construction materials. The project will also develop innovative equipment and mobile technical solutions. Beyond demonstrating sustainability, it will pave the way for policy measures to improve the overall legislative framework for construction products.
