"Environmental Engineering" Program

About the "Environmental Engineering" Program

The Master's program in "Environmental Engineering" is synchronized with a similar program at the University of Naples "Federico II", Italy. A bilateral agreement has been signed, allowing for a double degree, provided certain requirements are met.

According to the agreement, Bulgarian students spend the first two semesters at UACEG, with instruction in Bulgarian. The third semester and the diploma semester are completed in Italy, with instruction in English. Participation in the double degree program is optional; candidates must have a good command of English (B1 level or higher), and selection takes place after the first year of study. For students continuing their second year at UACEG, the language of instruction is Bulgarian.

Professional Skills

Students acquire the knowledge, skills, and competencies to conduct water management research, develop river basin management plans, and create preventive action plans against the harmful effects of water.

PROFESSIONAL REALIZATION

Graduates will be qualified to hold various operational and management positions in state, public, and private organizations as experts, utility plant managers, investors, consultants, administrators, lecturers, and researchers.

MASTER OF SCIENCE (MSc) (Full-time: State-funded / Paid) - four semesters

Admission Requirements

Candidates must have graduated from programs in Field 5 "Technical Sciences" and Field 4.4 "Earth Sciences," with a Higher Education Diploma GPA not lower than "Good".

Program Structure

Duration: four semesters (three semesters of coursework and one semester for the Master’s thesis).
Intake: Winter semester
