Department of Railways

The Department of Railways is a profiling department for the "Transport Engineering" major, specializing in "Railway Engineering". It prepares specialists in the field of railway transport: design, construction, and maintenance of railway lines, railway stations, station facilities, and railway operation. For the needs of urban transport, it trains personnel for the design, construction, and operation of tram lines, the Sofia Metro, and urban transport traffic organization. The study material is updated annually to present innovations in railway science.
Laboratory exercises are held in the "Prof. Mikhail Sabev, PhD" Training and Research Laboratory.
The department conducts specialized field training, industrial internships, and pre-graduation internships.
