Collaborative Knowledge Valorisation for Sustainable Nature-Based Solutions – GreenEsteem

The twin transition, involving the integration of green and digital innovation and transformation, is an increasingly promising and crucial field for addressing the socio-environmental challenges of our time. To ensure the long-term success of innovative environmental solutions, better sharing and co-creation of knowledge across research, policy, industry, and civil society are necessary. Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) have emerged as a promising area where innovative methods for knowledge co-creation have arisen. In view of this, GreenEsteem will utilize and develop best practices in the field of NBS to foster collaboration, skills, and knowledge exchange practices. At the heart of GreenEsteem will be two Urban Living Labs: Konin, Poland, and Sofia, Bulgaria, where sustainable NBS interventions will be jointly evaluated, designed, and piloted.

Based on the results of the pilot project and with the strong support of expert groups and national roundtables involving experts, a comprehensive training program for knowledge co-creation and transfer will be created, aimed at overcoming barriers and skill gaps among stakeholders in research, policy, industry, and civil society. Strategic roadmaps and events will launch and strengthen cross-pollination networks engaged in the green transition. Supported by an online platform featuring a best-practice toolkit, online training modules, a digital guide, and policy recommendations, GreenEsteem is designed to reach practitioners, citizens, and researchers, ensuring the replication of best practices for collaborative knowledge valorisation across Europe.
